Like many other special occasions, Valentine’s Day will look a little different this year. Unfortunately, we can\’t enjoy spa days, gourmet restaurants or weekend getaways, but you can still make loved ones feel SUPER SPECIAL with a wonderful gift. Sweep your significant other off their feet with a striking piece of artwork which, unlike chocolate, fizz and perfume, can be kept forever. Whether you are shopping for him or her, Lucy has lots of stunning prints with themes of love and togetherness which are just PERFECT for Valentine’s Day. Don\’t forget you can make your gift extra special by requesting a SPECIAL DEDICATION from Lucy! Simply write a message in the ‘Additional Order Notes’ section at the checkout, and Lucy will personally handwrite a note to the recipient.

One of Lucy’s latest releases, ‘Just the Two of Us’ is a vibrant landscape with vivid red and orange hues. It depicts a couple resting on a park bench amidst a tandem bike ride. They are peaceful, enjoying the tranquillity of the park and soaking in the busy city scene that lays before them. This piece represents spending quality time, escaping the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, and is a fab Valentine’s gift.

With its deep red tones, ‘Heads in the Clouds’ is dramatically romantic and is all about the floaty, ‘on cloud nine’ kind of feeling you get when you fall head over heels for someone. The sheep sit on a hilltop, surrounded by an intense, deep red sky with flowers underneath them – making this the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day!

More recently, Lucy has released two pieces featuring sweet little Dachshunds with radiant red hearts. ‘Love is in the Air’ is a versatile piece complementing an array of interior colour schemes and shows that sharing truly is caring, as two cute sausage dogs share a treat. ‘Puppy Love’ features an inquisitive Dachshund wearing a yellow spotted neckerchief. Both are available as Little Prints from £54, or look fabulous as larger framed pieces of art.

Have you explored The Houses collection? This quirky series of stories features landscapes, charming cottages and countryside scenes that retell the sights and sounds of life in the Yorkshire Dales. You’ll find an interesting blend of colours, moody ambiances and striking skies with some beautiful pinks and reds, which are perfect for wowing your darling this year. The Houses features a combination of recent artwork and some of Lucy’s earliest work in intriguing shapes and sizes. ‘A Passion Remembered’ is inspired by a rekindled relationship with a childhood sweetheart, while lollipop trees and curly clouds are the focus of ‘A Kiss of Light’.
Other artwork in the Houses collection, includes ‘Sending Love’ inspired by the isolation and separation we have all felt during recent times. It shows that although we may not be with loved ones, we are still thinking of them and very much sending love from our home to theirs. ‘Heart Warming’ is an earlier piece depicting a charming cottage, sat amidst a dense forest of trees underneath a glowing red sky. Sketched hearts float out of the chimneys, up into the sky and into the clouds above.

Although popular, red is not the only colour that creates a loving feel. Pinks and deep purples can also create a romantic ambience. ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ does just that, as two sheep sit on a bank together, surrounded by a striking billow of purple clouds. The view is obscured, making the couple’s location unidentifiable, but it is a secret spot they love to visit and somewhere that really means something to them. One of Lucy’s most popular prints, ‘Me and Moo’ captures the closeness of a couple, with a loving nudge, warmth and understanding, which Lucy has expressed on their faces.
Lucy has lots of sheep art inspired by love and relationships, in vibrant red shades. ‘Under my Umbrella’ is a striking new sketch depicting two sheep underneath a red umbrella with rain bouncing down around them. It reflects that rain will fall into each of our lives, but it is who we share the umbrella with that really counts. While ‘The Hug’ is a vivid artistic representation of two sheep enjoying a hug – strong and powerful, hugs are one of the greatest comforts there is, with a healing power all of their own that needs no words.
